Why Curve Skate Bearings?
•
ENGINEERING: Most other skate bearings are made
in China, and start life as electric motor bearings for use in household
appliances like blenders, food processors, etc. They are made for
light loads and very high revolutions (the exact opposite of skating
applications).
• APPLICATION: Skate bearings have to able
to withstand high impact loads and last in all kinds of environments.
Forget about the ABEC ratings. They don’t mean much in the
skateboard world.
• QUALITY: Our bearings are made in Europe
to ISO 9001 and ISO TS 16949 automotive standards using a much harder
and more durable grade of steel with all-steel cages. You can’t
make good products from bad materials, no matter how hard you try.
• LUBRICATION: We also use durable waterproof
grease not lightweight oil. This allows our bearings to have good
lubrication during the critical running in period. Lightweight oils
allow bearings to turn freely right out of the box, but the oil
will also be easily spun out of the bearings after a short period
of time. This means excessive wear, which means your bearings will
not last very long.
• PACKAGING: We use the cheapest, simplest,
re-usable packaging available (a zip lock bag). We’re not
sure why everyone is spending so much money and effort on something
that ends up in a landfill somewhere. What’s that point of
that? We sure don’t know, and we choose not to participate.
You’re paying for the bearings not the package.
• COMMITMENT: We skate on our own products.
Every day. We’re not professional skaters, but most people
who actually pay for bearings aren’t either. We’re about
the highest quality equipment available. We wouldn’t sell
these bearings if we didn’t think that they were excellent.
• EXCELLENCE: We’re not saying that
these are the ONLY good bearings on the market, but for the price,
you simply can’t beat them.
• SUPPORT: If you have a problem with your
Curve bearings, please contact us. We’ll sort it out. We stand
behind what we sell.
